Lenten Longings - Don’t Give Up Chocolate or Dessert This Lent
Instead join a small community for six weeks during Lent to participate in Lenten Longings, a program in which we read Scripture and share faith. Scripture Readings will be from the Sundays of Lent. Small groups will be meeting once a week for 90 minutes at the Parish Office. Daytime group will meet on Tuesday mornings, nighttime groups will meet on Thursday evenings. Consider this an invitation to make this Lent something special! Call Sister Eileen by March 3 for more information and/or to order a book.
In our ever growing church, and ever more isolated society, Churches everywhere have seen a need for the building of small communities within the larger community coming together to establish bonds. To re-center ourselves and to pray is a need that many people are finding that they have.
In the comfort of a home setting, Small Christian Communities offers an opportunity to talk, pray and build relationships. Discussion material is provided, and the hosts of each group are trained to facilitate groups. There is no prior knowledge about the church or what it believes required to join! All adults are welcome to try it out. For more information, contact Sr. Eileen at the parish office.
