Marriage and Family Apostolate

The Marriage and Family Ministry serves all families of St. Aloysius Parish by providing support, information and parish programs that will enhance and fulfill a deeper understanding of marriage and family life as articulated by the Church. The following programs are offered by this ministry:

  • The Couples Mentoring Program: this program pairs married parishioners with couples who are engaged to be married and provides practical advice on marriage, while establishing and cultivating an authentic relationship that will support the engaged and newly married couples.

  • Women's and Men's Small Groups: these groups help provide fellowship and faith formation by the facilitation of small faith sharing groups among the women and men of St. Aloysius Parish through the studying of various Church documents and apologetics series.

    Passing on the Faith

    Attention parents of children Birth through Age 4!!!!

    You get the coupons in the mail - you get the baby magazines with all the helpful articles - now there’s an update for the faith development of your family!  We have available a newsletter that encourages and informs families at each new stage of development.  “Passing on the Faith” a publication written by Susan Smith of the Diocese of Altoona-Johnstown, PA, is free for parishioners of St. Aloysius, and sent via email or snail mail - whatever your preference.

    Parents of children age birth to 12 months will receive updates directed at families with children who are:
    1-2 months
    3-4 months
    5-6 months
    7-8 months
    9-10 months
    11-12 months

    These updates provide suggestions for prayer and discussion, mom and dad time, interactions with your growing child, interfaith families, single parents, how to include extended family and godparents, and reflections on how God works in the lives of families.

    Parents of children ages 1-4 years will receive two updates per year that include similar, age-appropriate content.

    The updates are a quick read, but effectively assist families in taking the opportunity to more intentionally include God in our lives as we grow together.
